15TH ANNUAL BATTLE OF FALLUJAH VETERANS REUNION JUNE 2019
This year will mark the 15th Annual Battle of Fallujah Reunion where our brave warriors will gather together, regroup, heal and learn each other's methods of coping with the wounds they hold within. These photos depict the strength, valor and determination of United States Marines who lost brothers during the 2nd Battle of Fallujah. The 2016 Battle of Fallujah Reunion was held in NH, which is the home of 1/3 Fallujah Marine Timothy Gibson who passed away on January 26, 2005 along with 29 other Marines and one Sailor. The CH53-E helicopter carrying him and his brother’s crashed during a sandstorm in Rutbah, Iraq killing all aboard. Gibson was only 23 years old and was a 2000 graduate from Merrimack High School where he was a star quarterback and had played baseball. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps in April 2001. The death toll that day was the largest for a U.S. aircraft crash in Iraq since U.S. forces first went in in March 2003. Like most of the those lost in the crash, Tim Gibson had been deployed from the Marine Corps base at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. His brother’s will be coming in from all across the States remembering and honoring him and will also be participating in a softball tournament that raises scholarships in his name.
The fighting in Fallujah cost US forces 51 killed and 425 seriously wounded, while Iraqi forces lost 8 killed and 43 wounded; insurgent losses were estimated between 1,200 and 1,350.
These proud, dedicated and self-less brothers fought the worse battle in Iraq that resulted in the loss of many of our brave young. Many of those that did make it through have sustained lifelong traumatic stress and physical injuries suffered from roll-overs, improvised explosive devices, RPGs, mortars, rounds of bullets, etc. They have fought side by side losing their brothers as they fought for Freedom of the Iraqi people and continuing to fight for all of our Freedoms here at home, it is my hope that you can share our gratitude and provide them with a “gift” of appreciation.

We are honored and privileged to help sponsor the 1st Battalion 3rd Marine's Annual Battle of Fallujah Reunion for the 7th year. The fighting in Fallujah November to December 2004 cost the US 51 killed and 95 seriously wounded. The battle was led by the US Marine Corps against the Iraqi insurgency and has been called by military personnel "some of the heaviest urban combat US Marines have been involved in since the Battle of Hue City in Vietnam in 1968." This year in July our Marines will be celebrating the lives of their brother's, gathering to support and lift each other up with love, laughter and shared love. There is no other brotherhood more strong, faithful and no other bond than the brothers that serve alongside each other sacrificing their own time far away from their loved ones and carrying the huge loss of their own. Our foundation has never asked for direct assistance for our Marines, however would be appreciative of any support you can muster. Our goal is to be able to once again sponsor their reunion and to offer other units the ability to reunite, reconnect, and help comfort and honor their fallen brothers families and friends. As always 100% of the proceeds are restricted to their reunion as well as assist us in helping them with educational, financial, morale, health and well-being support. Please mark your donations to Battle of Fallujah. Semper Fidelis
