Gifts from the Heart
Bud's Place, Inc.
located in Osage Beach, Missouri and Crown Line who manufacturers
beautifully crafted boats donated a portion of their proceeds from
their Memorial Weekend Blowout in the Ozark Lakes area of Missouri to
the Fund. We received their donations, which were made on behalf of the
Memorial Weekend Crown Line new boat purchasers.
This wonderful show of support for our troops
will make it possible for two military families to receive a monetary
gift that we hope will help them in their time of suffering.
Thank you to Bud's Place, Inc., Crown Line and
of course radio station KRMS! We are proud to include you on our list
of sponsors and wish you much luck in the coming years. We thank the
purchaser's whose names will not be listed at this time who made these
donations possible!
Friendly Fire Paintball, located in Upton, Massachusetts donated funds from a raffle they held this past summer.
These funds will help a surviving family in
the State of Massachusetts or Rhode Island with emergency funds during
their time of need. We wish to thank the owner, Linda Moore and her
patrons who made this gift to a family in need possible.
Porte Barre High School, located in Shreveport, Louisiana surprised the Fund with a donation made from their tee-shirt sales.
Children are our future and with the help of
these students now other less fortunate military children can know
others are supporting and honoring their parent(s) who lost their
lives serving our Country.
Construction Employers Association,
Cleveland, Ohio donated the proceeds from their 50/50 they had during
their clambake this past summer. Only with the help of these members
can we help a family in their State during their time of hardship.
Thank you again!
The young Shamrocks Soccer Team, Coach Pat Diggins, and all the team parents
from Birmingham, Alabama contributed this past November as was
requested by Coach Diggins. This is a very admirable way to say thank
you to other children whose lives have been changed forever. What a
wonderful mentor Coach Diggins is to these young children. Look for
their team pictures in our photo album.
May God protect all of our children and those serving overseas.
Mutual Asset Management
in Westminster, Colorado made a generous donation as a Christmas gift
on behalf of their clients. In lieu of separate gift items their
decision to donate to the Fund shows the true spirit of Christmas.None
of us are able to bring home these children's parents, but we can
warm their hearts by remembering them and honoring the fallen. Merry
Christmas and may Denver have a wonderful White Christmas this year!
Ryan Trigg Family & Friends, Ryan Trigg Wonderful son of John D. Trigg & Rebecca S. "Becky" Trigg (nee Eichelberger)
Best Friend
and adored brother to Tara L. Trigg, beloved grandson of Joseph &
Mary Trigg of Tucson, AZ & the late Edward & Mary Eichelberger
of Belleville, IL., beloved nephew, cousin & an awesome friend to
many. He loved his family, friends and life itself.
Ryan's
dream was to serve his country and he did. Two weeks prior to
graduating from High School he enlisted in the United States Marine
Corps and was based in Camp Pendleton with an unwavering sense of duty
and respect for our Country, Ryan touched many lives during his time on
this earth. While traveling home from school to retrieve his "dress
blues" for a speech he was giving regarding the military, he was
suddenly taken from the lives he touched. Ryan's family requested
that friends and family send donations in his memory to The Children of
Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. The funds received as of January 2005
amounts to $2,365.00 and is held in trust and will benefit
surviving families from the State of Missouri. We thank all who
contributed and are proud to honor Ryan's memory in any manner that we
can.
May God Bless the Trigg family!
We are very grateful to The Pew Family
from Arizona who made a more than generous donation this Christmas
season. Instead of exchanging gifts amongst themselves they decided to
donate their entire Christmas to families of our Military that are
unable to share the season again with their Father or Mother. The words
written by each member of the family can be read on our website.
My wish would be that the Pew's will be able to present their
donation to a family from their State that is in need of assistance,
themselves.
Memorial Bracelets,
Novi, Michigan provided us with a $5,000 donation based on part of the
proceeds from their sales. Many times we look for ways to keep those we
have lost memories alive. With a memorial bracelet you can let others
know that you support our fallen soldiers, lives lost in wars of past
and the innocent victims of 9-11 as well as family and friends that
have left our lives, if just for a time. Visit their website and
purchase your bracelet in memory of those that are in your heart and
mind.
| In the 1970's, we wore Prisoner of War (P.O.W.)
bracelets bearing the name of a P.O.W. We did this to keep this person
in our hearts and minds, even if we did not know them personally. We
proudly wore these bracelets, and some still do, as a symbol of hope
that the P.O.W.'s and M.I.A.'s would return to their families alive. |
| Today, we also keep others in our memories...
Victims and Heroes of Terrorism. To keep the memory alive of those who
have died at the hands of terrorists or are fighting terrorism, we now
also wear memorial bracelets. By wearing a bracelet, we show our
patriotism and offer our moral and financial support to the families of
these Victims and Heroes of Terrorism. |
Sensor Systems, Inc.,out
of Sterling, VA Sensor Systems is the developer of industry leading
applications for image visualization and analysis for remote sensing
and medical imaging made a very generous donation of $15,000
to The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. This is the
largest contribution received from any one donor to date and we
thank them for their kindness. These funds will allow us to
support military families with both College and emergency
assistance. We are very grateful to Sensor Systems and are happy to
have support,
locally.
The Lehrman Family,
local to the CFSRF has graciously donated $2,000 to the
Washington, DC area emergency fund. These funds will help one or two
families in our area with emergency assistance. We hope to have the
funds released and made public by the end of the first quarter of
this year. Thank you for making such a generous contribution on
behalf of neighboring military families who have lost their
fathers in the battle for democracy.
* Nevada Benefits Foundation was the 1st to create "camo" troops wristbands!
* Our Military, Friends, Family members, and supporters of our
troops are wearing their special wristbands, inscribed with Defending
Freedom™ on one side and "Pray for our troops" on the other.
* We are the only "non-profit". Others note in "fine print" that
they will donate after all expenses (overhead, rent, etc). That is
misleading and not how our Foundation works!
We
are truly blessed and honored to have men and women in the military
that are fighting to give us the right to live here. We know that the
war on terror has been long and difficult. We have already sent over
200,000 free Defending Freedom wristbands to our brave men and women!
Our goal is to send one to every U.S. deployed military person and
veteran anywhere in the world!
Nevada Benefits has been a huge supporter
of The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund since May 2005. They
have graciously donated more than $6,200.00 and has supplied us
with more than 2000 wristbands to sell to the public in addition to
their donations. Phil Randazzo, founder has a heart of gold
and his support to all the military and other organizations has been
overwhelming. God Bless you Phil and may you always have wings of gold!
The Mayflower Foundation Over
the past three years, The Mayflower Foundation has held nine
fundraising events for beneficiary organizations in Boston, San
Francisco, Newport, and Washington, DC. As a result, they have
been able to disburse over $40,000 to support underprivileged children
throughout the country. The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund was
chosen as the beneficiary from their 2nd Annual Summer Gala held on June 18, 2005 at the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. The directors and other members of The Mayflower Foundation exceeded their goals and raised $5,000.00
which will be used to support DC Metro area military families. The
event was a huge success and those of us from the CFSRF had a wonderful
time at the Gala. There were several Marines in attendance as well and
it was an honor to meet all of our heroes and the heroes from The
Mayflower Foundation. We wish them all much more success in their
future endeavors. Thank you Peter, Jason, John, Kevin, Alex and Rob!
The Loonbird Foundation,
which is comprised of a group of young professionals from the Boston
area chose the CFSRF as the first beneficiary to receive proceeds from
their very first event held this past August 24th. Their
event was held on the rooftop of a hotel and although we weren't there,
we are sure they had quite a time that evening. The generosity of all
involved raised a total of $5,041.01
from this event! We wish to thank all involved with this
fundraiser and wish the Loonbird Foundation much more success!
Members and friends of Antiterror.net had
an online mission and battle on September 3, 2005 held specifically to
assist U.S. Military families. Their operation raised $625.00 for the
CFSRF and we gained a new member! Thank you all for your ability to not
only withstand the most extreme of battles, but to offer support to our
military and their families as well!
21,340 students
across America helped raise money for the Children of Fallen Soldiers
Relief Fund! America's Lemonade Stand,® recently sent us a donation
check in the amount of $5,335.00. America's Lemonade Stand® is a
fundraising company that works with schools and children across the
country to help raise needed funds for their schools. This past year,
they launched a new program that also donated $.25 per participating
student to the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund. For their help
in participating students received a camouflage bracelet, "SOS" for
"Save Our Soldiers," Keith Harband, VP of Marketing said.
The
Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund sends their gratitude to each
and every student who participated in this program. Their hardwork and
determination not only helped raise funds for their schools, but helped
raised funds to help other children of our U.S. Military. Thank you to
all the children and to America's Lemonade Stand.® Please visit their
website at:
