Richard Torres

2nd Lt. Richard Torres enlisted in the Army after he graduated from high school in Passaic, N.J., in 1996, saying it was a way for him to be the first person in his family to graduate from college.

He eventually attended Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, where he held a double major in political science and history and graduated in 2002. He also was involved in the university's ROTC program, where he won several awards.

Torres, 25, died Oct. 6, 2003, when his convoy was hit by a homemade explosive. He was based at Fort Drum, N.Y.

Ryan Trigg – 724 viewsBeloved son of John & Becky Trigg, brother to Tara and wonderful grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to many others. Ryan is deeply missed by all and our love and prayers go out to his family and friends.

On Friday, October 29th, 2004, Sigma Pi and Alpha Rho Chapter (Southwest Missouri State University) suffered a tragic loss. Ryan Trigg (21 yrs old), a Fall 2004 Pledge and dedicated Marine, had his life taken away by slick I-44 roads heading back to St. Louis.

Trigg family and friends donated more than $2,300.00 to The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund in memory of Ryan. We are accepting applications from marine families who lost a father or mother based out of Twenty-Nine Palms and families from the State of Missouri specifically to make an award from Ryan's contributions from each State.
