Sgt. Francisco Martinez,
28 years old
from Humacao, Puerto Ricouion

Killed when an improvised explosive device was detonated next to a military convoy in Baghdad, Iraq, on November 4, 2003, Served with my son, 82nd Soldier Support Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division. I know he is missed and loved very much.


Sgt. Christopher S. Potts,
38 years old
from Tiverton, RI

Was killed when his unit was conducting traffic control operations in Taji, Iraq, when enemy forces attacked them using small-arms fire on October 3, 2004. Sgt. Potts served with Battery A, 1st Battalion, 103rd Field Artillery Regiment, Rhode Island Army National Guard.


2nd Lt. Richard Torres,
25 years old
from Passaic, NJ

Was killed when his convoy, while on combat patrol, was struck by an improvised explosive device in Baghdad, Iraq, on October 6, 2003. Lt. Torres served with Company B, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. Lt. Torres was the first Peruvian American to be killed in Iraq and his brother Stewart has been diligent in honoring his younger brother who has a Street named after him in his hometown. Cpl. Christopher Weaver,
24 years
from Fredericksburg, VA

Died as a result of hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, on January 26, 2005. Cpl. Weaver served with the 4th Combat Engineer Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve. Our condolences are with his family and friends.
