For Immediate Release
COUNTRY NEWCOMER FRANK ORTEGA TO DONATE TO
THE CHILDREN OF FALLEN SOLDIERS RELIEF FUND
NASHVILLE, TN, September 9, 2005 Villa One recording artist Frank Ortega, currently on his first ever radio tour to promote his new upcoming single “A Soldiers’ Prayer” ™
recently announced that he and his label will donate 10% of all
proceeds made off of the song to the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief
Fund.
“When I first
heard of this fund I wanted to find a way to help out the cause, Ortega
says. Everybody has a way of giving to the men and women serving over
in Iraq, and this is mine.“
In the song, “A Soldier’s Prayer, ™ Ortega
delivers the last request of a dying soldier. Ortega holds the song,
written by Jon Randall and Bart Allmand, very close to his heart. He
recorded it just weeks after hearing a friend’s cousin was killed in
action while serving over in Iraq in the marines. “The song just took
on a whole different meaning to me,“ Ortega says.
“A Soldier’s
Prayer” ™ will be available the first week in October. The accompanying
video for the song will follow soon after. Ortega’s forthcoming debut
album consists of 12 tracks; 4 of which were co-written by the singer.
