The Southeastern Virginia Mustang Club
Raises Funds for The Children of Fallen
Soldiers Relief Fund and the “Andrew Tuazon Memorial Fund” with their
Show & Shine Fundraiser, September 11, 2005. This event is open to
the public and will be held:

Andrew Tuazon was a native of
Portsmouth, Va. He graduated with the Class of 2001 at Western Branch
High School, where he was a member of the Latin Club and the track
team. Andrew joined the United States Army in November 2002, and he was
in the midst of his second deployment in the Middle East when he lost
his life. Private Tuazon had departed with his unit to Iraq in March
2004, having previously served for six months in Afghanistan when he
was killed by hostile sniper fire while on guard duty in Mosul, Iraq on
May 10, 2004.
Private Tuazon was assigned to the 293rd
Military Police Company, 3rd Military Police Battalion, 3rd Infantry
Division, based at Fort Stewart, Georgia. During his Army career,
Private Tuazon earned the Bronze Star Medal, the Purple Heart, an Army
Commendation Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and several unit citations.
We encourage all interested parties to join us as we honor the memory
of Private Tuazon and all members of our Armed Forces, past and present.
The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund a
non-profit 501 ( c ) 3 organization will be allocating 100% of the
proceeds raised in this event to provide financial support to U.S.
Military & their families from within the Portsmouth, Norfolk,
Chesapeake, Virginia Beach and surrounding areas. Please be advised
this is not a competition event, this is just a show and shine
fundraiser, so that we can raise money and show all our fallen soldiers
families how much we care and thank them.
