Love & Support

During the yellow ribbon walk-a-thon campaign, I have come across many people who have been affected by the current war on terrorism as well as World War I, World War II, The Korean War, Vietnam War as well as others. My grandfathers served in the Navy during World War I, II and the Korean War and my parents served in the Marines as well. I myself was too young during the Vietnam War to comprehend the meaning of war and the ramifications of it. Many lives have been lost and sadly many of our service members have been forgotten as our busy lives keep us constantly on the move.

Now that I am older with children of my own and a young grandson, myself, my thoughts of what our military families must have gone through during wars of past and what they will continue to go through are constantly on my mind. People have asked me why I am doing this and the only answer I can give them while holding back tears is for the children. Why should they suffer for me? Let alone their mothers or fathers that have lost their husbands and wives to the war. The thought of what each day must be like for them is unbearable to me and if I can make one childs suffering less then I will be giving part of myself as well. I realize only too fully that each and every day that I have to live as a free person is only because of them and their sacrifices as well as their families.

Every walk that I take, every path that I venture on, every breath that I take is because of you, our brave service men and women and I personally want to show my gratitude. It is my hope that our troops will be returning home, safe and sound. If we band together to provide our prayers and support, perhaps we can make a difference to some.

Please help us by donating online.

May God always be there with the families that have lost their lives and with all our service members who continue to sacrifice their lives for our continued freedom. I only hope that this Fund will be able to give back to those that had so much taken from them.
