5 Mile Yellow Ribbon

Paula Young and the Turkey Hill Ice Cream Truck were present at our 2nd walkathon, May 16, 2004 as well as The Hogettes (r), The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, Beth Scott, 10 Times Gold Medalist, and Kimberlee Ratliff, Mrs. USA Universal. A very generous donation of food items were donated by Eric Rose of Longhorn Steakhouse in Germantown and our two chefs, Mike and Brian cooked up a mess of food for those in attendance. Although our participation was lacking, we managed to enjoy ourselves tremendously and it was due in part to the special guests who remained throughout the day and joined our group of patriotic walkers. It again turned out to be a beautiful day, and the cicadas singing were a special treat!

We had hoped that some WMZQ listeners would join us, but perhaps another time. Once again, a big thank you to all of our sponsors...many who have once again risen to the occasion and supplied us with food, beverages and gift certificates! All of the support is greatly appreciated and will assist us in providing U.S. Military families with a "gift" towards College.
